The whole Sun.  Some idea of the inclination of the Sun's axis can be gleaned from the fact that the spot group 11542 is at about 15° south, and spots 11538, 11540, and 11544 are all between 10° and 20° south, and spots in the north are all between about 12° and 22° north.  They all seem to be rather weak affairs and contrast is not good.
