The whole Sun.  Some idea of the inclination of the Sun's axis can be gleaned from the fact that the spot group 11542 is at about 15° south, and spots 11538, 11540, and 11544 are all between 10° and 20° south, and spots in the north are all between about 12° and 22° north.  They all seem to be rather weak affairs and contrast is not good. Date and Time: 10 August 2012 08:33 UT Camera: DMK 21AF04 Telescope: 270 mm SLR Capture: ICCapture. Exposure 1/1757", gain 542, 3349 frames Processing: Registax6. 150 frames stacked. Wavelets 1-2=10, histogram 20-215. |
