ToUcam 840K Home

This is my modified ToUcam 840K.  I modified it, following the method devised by Steve Chambers for long exposures, and the method of Greg Beake for turning off the built-in amplifier.  It is cooled by a thermo-electric cooler and D is the heatsink and fan. Power for the cooler is provided by a 12-volt battery via the connector (G).  The long-exposure feature was designed to be controlled by the parallel port of the computer, and the cable plugs into the socket (F) and is controlled by the switch (E).  The camera connects to the telescope through a ring (B) identical to that on my ToUcam 740K and is here attached to a standard M42 extension ring.
A complete description of this modification, including the change from control through the parallel port to control via a USB port on the computer, is given here.
