The major part (11520) of this massive group of sunspots appeared around the limb of the Sun on 6th July 2012, and by the 15th it is approaching the east limb and will shortly disappear from view. It remains to be seen if it will last long enough to reappear around the west limb in three weeks or so, but if it does it will be given a new designation, so this is, strictly speaking, the last view I will get of group 11520. The major spot was large enough to be seen with the unaided eye (with a suitable dark filter).
