The Sun between 6th and 11th September 2006 Home

Clear skies enabled me to image the Sun on five successive days, so I have produced animations to illustrate the rotation of the Sun and the changes that occur in sunspots from day to day.  With luck the animations will be synchronised, but each pauses at the first and last frame.  I regret that the quality differs so much from frame to frame, but the sky was not perfectly clear on any of these days (and my camera is not as clean as it might be either!).

The whole Sun.  The animation demonstrates the rotation of the Sun.
