The Sun and its Spots on 8th September 2005 Home

The Sun on 050909 The whole Sun.  Move the mouse over the image to see the designations.  
Two new spots have appeared around the limb since my last picture.   The bigger spot, 10808, is believed to be spot number 10798 coming round again.

Telescope: 270 mm SLR
Capture: K3CCDTools. Low gamma, B/W, 1/250", 4% gain, 308 frames.
Processing: Registax. 172 frames stacked. Wavelets 1,2 = 10.
Sunspot 10808 on 050908 A close-up view of spot number 10808 as it just shows coming round the limb.
Spot number 10809 was too small for a reasonable image.
