Most of the craters here are ancient at about 4,000 million years, and have been flooded with lava.
Turner is much younger (between 1,000 and 3,200 million years) and is a bowl-shaped crater
with no central mountain. Apollo 14 landed on a small flat plain in amongst the mountains.
The pictures were taken using my LX200 with a X2 adaptor lens on 7th October 2004 between 03:18 and 03:24 UT when the Moon was 22.8 days old.
