Fra Mauro Most of the craters here are ancient at about 4,000 million years, and have been flooded with lava.  Turner is much younger (between 1,000 and 3,200 million years) and is a bowl-shaped crater with no central mountain.  Apollo 14 landed on a small flat plain in amongst the mountains.
The pictures were taken using my LX200 with a X2 adaptor lens on 7th October 2004 between 03:18 and 03:24 UT when the Moon was 22.8 days old.
