This wider-angled view from above shows the location of the observatory by a red square. The grey-roofed house to the left is my house and restricts the view to the west very seriously. Neighbours' houses restrict the view to the north-west and north-east. The building to the south is an extension only one story high so only obscures the horizon. The houses round here are generally well insulated so I am hoping thermal disturbances will not be too bad. There is a Silver Birch tree which is fortunately fairly narrow so may not be a serious impediment.
Here is the site as seen from the east; the location of the observatory is indicated by the red arrow. You can see the gap towards the west between my house and that of my neighbour. The Silver birch tree is evident. The higher part of the neighbour's house to the south-west is largely obstructed by my own house so is not as significant as may appear in this picture.

As soon as my telescope is installed I shall plot my horizon.
Finally here is the view from the east after the observatory was finished.
