NGC 5907, in the constellation of Draco, is a spiral galaxy seen edge on. However it has only a very small central bulge (compare NGC 4565) giving it a very flat appearance. It was discovered by William Herschel in 1788 and is the second-largest galaxy of the NGC-5866 group. A supernova was observered in it on 16 February 1940.
