Victoria Falls Game Park

Although a very small park, this is quite well stocked, and contains the only Rhinoceros' in Zambia. We were fortunate to see three together resting among some undergrowth.

There were numerous giraffes, fairly pale in colour, not bothered at all by our presence.

We also saw Puku antelopes, the rear end of a solitary Wildebeest, rather aloof zebras and a flock of Guinea Fowl

Near the end of the trip, we still had not seen any elephants, although we had seen plenty of tree damage, but then the vehicle broke down- problems with the fuel supply - and we were stopped for about 20 minutes. This proved most fortunate, because we were picked up by another vehicle in perfect time to see a small group moving into a mud hole. By strange coincidence the owner of the Coronado telescope from the Eureka camp site was on the vehicle! A troupe of baboons did a bit of jaywalking, and the stop also gave the opportunity to photograph away from the vehicle. The miniature mountains are termite mounds. One elephant ventured onto the road - the driver of the vehicle behind seemed totally unconcerned!
