We had one day taking a boat to Staffa and Lunga, two of the smaller Hebridean islands. Unfortunately the sea conditions were such that we could not land on Staffa so we could only admire Fingle's Cave from the boat. However we could land on Lunga and climbed up the cliffs to the top where puffins nest. These birds seems totally undisturbed by our presence, so really close-up pictures were possible. I took 120 pictures, most of them good, so here are nine of the best.
