The picture is a mosaic of three pictures taken when the Moon was 11.4 days old.  Sadly I was careless, not only missing a chunck at the top but also the easterly end of the mare.

Date and Time: 9th December 2008 21:01 to 21:08 UT
Camera: ToUcam 840K
Telescope: LX200 at prime focus
Capture: K3CCDTools. Low gamma, 1/100", 20% gain, ~700 frames
Processing: Registax. Wavelet 1-2 = 5, histogram 0-200.

The picture is a mosaic of seven pictures taken when the Moon was 8.2 days old.
This is better with the eastern end of the mare included.  However, it was taken three days earlier and the light has not yet reached the western end of the mare.
