Mars on 8th September 2005 Home

So far this season, my images of Mars have lacked any information in blue light.  If I look at the blue image it is black.  I know Mars is "The Red Planet" but there should be some blue light coming from it if only from the polar cap.  So this time I adjusted the colour sliders in the camera's set-up menu to see what difference that would make.  Below are six results along with the picture of the colour sliders captured by QCamLog.  Unfortunately I cannot guarantee that they have all been processed identically, so look at the colours rather than the quality of the image.

These are the settings of the sliders as I have used them before.  To be honest I'm not sure how I arrived at these settings but I think I did it by pointing at a white cloud during the daytime and letting Auto do its work.
The same as above but with the blue slider increased slightly.
The "indoor" setting.
The "fluorescent" setting.
The "outdoor" setting.  One would have thought this was the obvious setting;  after all, both we and Mars are lit by the same Sun.
The same as above but with the blue slider increased to almost the same as the red slider.
