Two open clusters in Perseus which are close together and make a pretty picture in a low-power lens.  NGC884 is on the left, NGC 869 on the right

Capture: K3CCDTools. Low gamma, exposure 20 sec, 50% gain, 27 frames
Processing: K3CCDTools. 20 frames stacked, histogram 0-200, unsharp mask width 2, offset 0, factor 100


And here they are photographed with my Canon DSLR attached to my ST80 with X2 lens attached.  I have enhanced the colour a little, mainly to compensate for the loss when I reduced the original image to make it fit on this page.  I think this is more like it would appear to the eye in a dark sky.
