NGC6871, in the constellation of Cygnus, is a small cluster with no more than 50 members and is placed in front of the milky way. It is 5,100 light-years away and subtends 20 arc-minutes. This corresponds to a diameter of 30 light-years. Moving your mouse over the picture will show one which has been sharpened with Focus Magic. I often do this but, in this case, I felt that is reduced the contrast between the cluster and the background stars. What do you think?
