NGC 1502  An Open Cluster in CamelopardalisHome

NGC 1502, in the constellation of Camelopardalis, is a little-known but rather pretty open cluster.  It contains about 45 stars including two fine binaries, Struve 484 and Struve 485 (pictures on my Camelopardalis page).

This picture was taken with my Canon 1000D camera attached to my LX200.  Struve 485 is the bright pair right in the middle of the cluster, and Struve 484 is the closer pair just below and to the right of Struve 485.
